Why it exists

SIADE WHALES started with a personal problem.

I had been holding cryptocurrency for years, primarily Ethereum, using a paper wallet that I generated offline and kept under my own control.

The idea of holding my own private keys made sense to me. My assets were not dependent on another company holding the keys for me. My wallet existed independently from an exchange or financial platform.

But self custody came with another problem.

It was difficult to do anything with the wallet.

Analysing the market properly required using different tools. Understanding positions, movements and market conditions meant moving between different platforms. Interacting with smart contracts or signing transactions from a paper wallet was even more complicated.

The technology allowed me to own the asset directly, but the tools around it were not designed with that type of user in mind.

That is why SIADE WHALES was created.

The objective was not simply to build another crypto dashboard. It was to build the environment that I wanted to have as a holder.

A place where I could understand the market, analyse my positions, investigate what was happening on chain and have the tools required to operate my own assets when I decided to do so.

As blockchain technology developed, the ability to hold an asset became only one part of the equation. Tokens, smart contracts, decentralised applications and increasingly complex financial systems created a much larger environment to interact with.

Someone who chooses self custody should not have to give up access to that environment.

SIADE WHALES exists to make that possible without changing the fundamental relationship between the user and their assets.
