Adding a wallet
How to add a wallet or follow one — My portfolio or Watchlist, choosing the network or letting it be detected, labels, hiding a wallet from your totals, removing it, receiving to it with a QR code, and what happens while its history is read.
You can track as many wallets as you like, on every supported network. Adding one takes a public address — no signature, no wallet connection, no key.
Where to add it
- The Add wallet button in the Wallet card of the Overview
- The wallet selector at the top right of any Wallet screen: Add wallet under My portfolio, or Follow a wallet under Watchlist
- Watch this wallet on any whale in Whale alerts, which adds it to your watchlist in one click
- The keyboard: Ctrl + N (or ⌘ + N on a Mac) on the Wallet
The window
My portfolio or Watchlist — choose one at the top:
- My portfolio — counts in your totals and analysis. For wallets that are yours
- Watchlist — just follow, excluded from analysis. For wallets you want to observe without owning: a whale, a fund, a project's treasury
Keeping them separate is what keeps your numbers right: a whale's millions in your net worth would make every figure meaningless.
Network — leave it on Auto-detect to read the address on every network it works on, or pick one network from the list. Networks where only the native coin is read are marked, for example CRO only.
Public address — paste it. As you type, a hint tells you what it is: EVM address · read on 15 networks, Bitcoin address or Solana address. If the address does not match the network you picked, it says so.
Label — optional, up to 40 characters. A name to tell your wallets apart: Cold storage, Trading, Paper wallet 2021.
Click Add wallet.
Which networks are read
An Ethereum-style address (starting with 0x) is the same on every EVM network, so with Auto-detect it is read on all of them at once — Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, BNB Chain and the rest — and treated as one wallet with holdings in several places. Bitcoin and Solana addresses are read on their own networks.
What is available on each network is listed in Networks.
While the history is read
The first time a wallet is added, its whole transaction history is read, not only the recent part. Your balance and total value appear straight away. Purchase prices, realized profit, Performance and the Analyser fill in as the history comes in, and the pages say how far along it is.
For an old or very active wallet this can take a while. It only happens once.
Hiding a wallet from your totals
In the wallet selector, the eye next to one of your wallets keeps it out of All Assets without removing it. It stays tracked and you can still open it on its own. Click the eye again to count it again.
Useful for a wallet you manage for someone else, or to see your portfolio without one particular wallet.
Removing a wallet
The bin next to a wallet in the selector stops tracking it. Nothing happens on the blockchain and no funds move; it simply disappears from your account.
Receiving to a wallet
Receive in the Wallet card shows the selected wallet's address as a QR code, with Copy address. Someone can scan it with their phone to send you funds.
Privacy
Adding several wallets to one account links them together inside your account. That link is not published anywhere, but if you keep some addresses separate on purpose, decide deliberately whether to add them. See Privacy.
