title: Overview
description: The Wallet's home screen — total value with its chart in USD, BTC or ETH, profit and loss, the wallet selector, allocation, diversification score, top holdings, your movers, staked ETH, gas, Fear & Greed, whale alerts, the assets table, security checkup, wallet profile, insights, and the tokens kept out of your totals.
---

**Overview** is the first screen of the Wallet. It answers the questions you have when you open your portfolio: how much it is worth, whether you are up or down, what you hold, how exposed you are, and whether anything needs your attention.

Almost every card on this screen opens something deeper. Click a figure to see where it comes from, or follow a card's **See all** link to the full section behind it.

## Choosing what you are looking at

Every number on the Wallet refers to the wallet chosen in the **Wallet** card at the top right. Click it to open the list:

- **All Assets** — all the wallets in **My portfolio** combined. This is the default
- **My portfolio** — each wallet you own, one by one
- **Watchlist** — wallets you follow without owning them

Each wallet in the list has two buttons:

- **The eye** — for your own wallets, keeps that wallet out of **All Assets** without removing it. Useful for a wallet you hold for someone else, or one you do not want mixed into your totals
- **The bin** — stops tracking the wallet. Nothing happens on the blockchain; it only disappears from your account

At the bottom of each group: **Add wallet** and **Follow a wallet**. See [Adding a wallet](/docs/add-wallet).

Also in the Wallet card:

- **Copy** — copies the selected wallet's address
- **Receive** — shows the address as a QR code, so someone can scan it and send you funds
- **Add wallet** — adds another wallet
- **Your picture** — on All Assets, the pencil next to the picture lets you choose a character or upload your own photo

## Total portfolio value

The large number at the top left is what your holdings are worth now.

Next to the title:

- **The eye** — hides every amount on the screen behind dots, for when someone can see your screen. Click again to show them
- **Refresh** — reads your balances again straight away

Under the value:

- **The change** over the period selected on the chart, in percent and in dollars
- **When it was updated**, and any notes on the data: if the balances could not be refreshed and you are seeing the last good reading; if your history is still being read for the first time (with how far it has got); and how many tokens have been kept out of your totals

### The chart

Your portfolio's value over **24H, 1W, 1M, 3M, 1Y** or **ALL**. Move the cursor over it to see the value on any day.

The **USD / BTC / ETH** buttons in the corner show the same chart measured in dollars, in bitcoin or in ether. This answers a question the dollar chart hides: whether your portfolio has done better or worse than simply holding Bitcoin or Ether. A line that rises in dollars but falls in BTC means Bitcoin did better than you.

For periods before your history was recorded, the chart may show an estimate — today's holdings valued at past prices — and says so.

## Profit and loss cards

Four cards under the value. The first three open a breakdown by coin when you click them.

**All-time P&L · Unrealized** — how much your current holdings have gained or lost against what you paid for them. The line below says how much of your portfolio this covers. Coins you received for free, such as airdrops, have no purchase price, so they are not part of this figure. If only a small part of your money has a known purchase price, the card says so instead of showing a misleading number. Click it to see the gain or loss of each coin against your average buy price.

**Invested · Cost basis** — what you paid for the coins you still hold, and for how many of your assets that is known. Click it to see how much you put into each coin and your average buy price.

**Realized P&L** — profit or loss already locked in by selling. It shows *nothing sold from this wallet yet* if you have not sold, or *not verifiable yet* if the wallet's history could not be read completely enough to trust the figure. Click it to see what each coin you sold made or lost.

**24h change** — how much your portfolio moved in the last 24 hours.

How purchase prices are worked out from a self-custody wallet is explained in [Cost basis and P&L](/docs/cost-basis).

## Risk & returns

The card under the Wallet card, measured over the last three months:

- **Best day** and **Worst day**, with their dates
- **Down from peak** — how far your portfolio is below its highest value, or *At a high*
- **Daily swing (typical)** — how much your portfolio usually moves in a day

It gives you a feel for how bumpy your portfolio is. **See full** opens [Risk & returns](/docs/wallet-risk).

## Allocation

A ring chart of how your money is split between your largest holdings. The full breakdown by coin, sector, wallet and network is in [Allocation](/docs/wallet-allocation).

## Diversification score

A score from 0 to 100 with its assessment, and:

- **Independent bets** — how many genuinely separate bets your portfolio contains. Coins that always move together count as one
- **Effective coins** — how many coins your money is really spread across, out of the number you hold
- **Effective sectors** — the same, for sectors

Holding twenty coins that all follow Bitcoin is closer to one bet than twenty. The full analysis is in [Diversification](/docs/wallet-diversification).

## Top holdings

Your five largest positions, with their share of the portfolio, value and 24-hour change. **See all** opens [Allocation](/docs/wallet-allocation). Click a coin for its detail.

## Your movers

The five coins in your portfolio that moved most in the last 24 hours, up or down. **Open heatmap** shows every coin at every timeframe in [Heatmap](/docs/wallet-heatmap).

## The row of small cards

**Staked ETH** — how much of your ETH is in liquid staking tokens such as stETH, rETH or wstETH, in ETH and in dollars, with its 24-hour change. Click it to see each staking position, the current staking rate, and an estimate of what you earn per year and per month at that rate.

**Ethereum gas** — the current cost of a transaction on Ethereum, labelled *Low*, *Normal*, *Busy* or *Congested*, with the Slow, Normal and Fast prices. Click it to see how gas has moved over time and how much you have spent on gas from your own wallet — in total, in ETH and per transaction. Gas is usually cheaper at weekends and late at night US time; waiting for a quiet moment can halve the cost of a transfer.

**Fear & Greed** — the market's mood from 0 (extreme fear) to 100 (extreme greed). Click it to see it as a gauge, with yesterday's and last week's readings and what the current level usually means.

**Whale alerts** — how many movements of $25 million or more happened in the last 24 hours, and their total. Click it to open [Whale alerts](/docs/wallet-whales).

**SWOP** — the desktop program for sending, signing and generating wallets. **Open SWOP** takes you to its page. See [SWOP](/docs/swop).

## Assets

Every coin you hold, eight per page.

| Column | What it shows |
| --- | --- |
| Asset | Name and symbol |
| Amount | How many units you hold |
| Avg buy | Your average purchase price |
| Price | The current price |
| 24h | Change in the last 24 hours |
| P&L · all-time | Gain or loss against your average buy price, in percent and dollars |
| Value | What your holding is worth now |
| Allocation | Its share of your portfolio |

Click any row to open the coin's detail: its price chart, **your position** (amount, value, share, average buy price, amount invested, all-time and realized P&L) and its market cap, volume, 7-day change and how much of its supply is circulating.

A token you chose to count in your totals, even though it has no reliable price, is marked **included by you**; click the mark to take it out again.

If a wallet's history could not be read in full, the Avg buy and P&L columns are hidden, because a purchase price calculated from part of the history would be wrong.

## Security checkup

A score out of 100 with its assessment, and:

- **Open approvals** — how many apps can still spend tokens from your wallet, and how many of those have no limit
- **Exposed** — the value those apps could move
- **Flagged tokens** — tokens in your wallet marked as risky or malicious

An approval is a permission you gave an app — a swap, a marketplace, a staking site — to move a token for you. They stay open until you cancel them, even years later. **See full** opens [Health & security](/docs/wallet-health), which lists each one.

## Wallet profile

A short profile of one wallet's history: its traits — such as **Veteran**, **Active trader**, **Rarely trades**, **Uses DeFi**, **Multi-chain** or **Dormant** — how old it is, how many transactions it has signed, when it last signed one, and how much it has spent on gas.

With **All Assets** selected it uses your first wallet with history and says so; choose a wallet in the selector to see another. **Open analyser** opens the complete study in [Wallet Analyser](/docs/wallet-analyser).

## Insights

Short notes on anything worth your attention, written from your own numbers. They only appear when they apply:

- **High concentration** or **Top-heavy** — one coin is a large share of your portfolio
- **Low diversification** — your money is effectively in very few places
- **Best position** and **Biggest drawdown** — your best and worst coin against your average buy
- **Underwater positions** — coins down more than 50% from what you paid
- **Low dry powder** — very little in stablecoins to buy a dip
- **Mostly stablecoins** — most of your money is out of the market
- **Risky approval** — an app flagged as risky can still spend your tokens
- **Security checkup** or **Clean checkup** — your security score
- **Realized to date** — what you have made or lost from selling

## Kept out of your totals

Tokens you hold whose price cannot be trusted, with their amount and their value on paper. The **Why** column says:

- **No real market** — the token is listed but barely trades. Valuing it at the quoted price would add money to your total that you could not actually get by selling
- **Not listed** — no market prices it at all

These tokens are still yours and still shown, but they are left out of your total value, P&L and analysis so they do not distort them. If you know a token is genuinely worth its price, click **Count it** and it is added to everything. See [Unlisted tokens](/docs/unlisted-tokens).

## On a phone

The Overview is arranged for a small screen: the wallet, your total value, the P&L figures and the chart come first, and every other section of the Wallet follows as a list you can open in place by tapping its title.
