title: Pro chart
description: The full-screen charting workspace for a coin — seven timeframes, four chart types, 27 indicators, 14 drawing tools including measure and text notes, picture export, and a layout remembered for each coin.
---

The **Pro chart** is a full-screen chart for one coin, for when you want to work on the price yourself: mark levels, add indicators, measure moves and come back to the same setup later.

Open it with the **Pro chart** button on any [coin page](/docs/wallet-coin). It opens in its own browser tab, so you can keep the coin page and the chart side by side.

## The top bar

From left to right:

- **The pair** — the coin against USDT, for example `ETH /USDT`
- **Price and 24-hour change**
- **Timeframes** — the size of each candle
- **Chart type**
- **ƒx Indicators** — add and remove indicators
- **Status** — how many drawings the chart has, and whether your latest change has been saved
- **Save picture** — downloads the chart as an image, ready to share
- **Full screen**

## Timeframes

**1m, 5m, 15m, 1h, 4h, 1d** and **1w**. Each candle covers that length of time. The last candle moves live.

Short timeframes show the detail of the last hours; long ones show the trend. A level that appears on the daily and the weekly chart matters more than one that only shows on the 5-minute.

## Chart types

- **Candles** — the default. Each candle shows where the price opened, closed, and its high and low
- **Hollow candles** — rising candles drawn as outlines, which makes long runs of up candles easier to see
- **Bars** — the same four prices drawn as ticks
- **Area** — only the closing price, for a clean view of the shape of a move

## Indicators

**ƒx Indicators** opens a searchable list. Click an indicator to add it; click it again to remove it.

**On the price** — drawn over the candles:

| Indicator | What it shows |
| --- | --- |
| Moving average (MA) | The average price over a period: the direction of the trend |
| Exponential moving average (EMA) | A moving average that reacts faster to recent prices |
| Smoothed moving average (SMA) | A slower, smoother moving average |
| Bollinger bands (BOLL) | A band around the price that widens when it moves a lot and narrows when it is quiet |
| Parabolic SAR (SAR) | Dots that follow the trend and flip side when it turns |
| Bull and bear index (BBI) | A blend of four moving averages: price above it leans bullish |
| Average price (AVP) | The average price paid during the session |

**Below the price** — each in its own panel:

| Indicator | What it shows |
| --- | --- |
| Volume (VOL) | How much was traded in each candle. On by default |
| MACD | Whether momentum is building or fading |
| Relative strength index (RSI) | Overbought above 70, oversold below 30 |
| Stochastic (KDJ) | Where the price sits in its recent range, with a fast third line |
| On-balance volume (OBV) | Whether volume is flowing in on up days or out on down days |
| Commodity channel index (CCI) | How far the price has stretched from its average |
| Directional movement index (DMI) | Whether buyers or sellers drive the trend, and how strongly |
| Williams %R (WR) | Overbought and oversold, from −100 to 0 |
| Momentum (MTM) | How fast the price is moving compared with a few candles ago |
| Rate of change (ROC) | The same, as a percentage |
| Triple exponential average (TRIX) | Momentum with the noise smoothed out |
| Awesome oscillator (AO) | Whether short-term momentum is stronger than longer-term |
| Bias ratio (BIAS) | How far the price is from its average, in percent |
| Price volume trend (PVT) | Volume weighted by how much the price moved |
| Volume ratio (VR) | Volume on up days against volume on down days |
| Ease of movement (EMV) | How easily the price moves for the volume traded |
| Psychological line (PSY) | The share of recent candles that closed up |
| Moving average difference (DMA) | The gap between a fast and a slow average |
| Sentiment (BRAR) | Buying against selling pressure through the day |
| Energy index (CR) | Strength of buyers against sellers |

Add as many as you like. What the main ones mean and when they mislead is explained in the [indicator guide](/docs/technicals#indicator-guide).

## Drawing tools

The tools are on the left. Hover over one to see its name. Choose a tool, then click on the chart to place it.

**Crosshair** — the normal pointer. Shows the price and time under the cursor.

**Lines**

- **Trend line** — between two points, to follow a slope
- **Ray** — from one point onwards
- **Extended line** — through two points, in both directions
- **Horizontal line** — a price level across the whole chart, for support and resistance
- **Horizontal ray** — a price level from one point onwards
- **Vertical line** — to mark a date or an event
- **Price line** — a level labelled with its price

**Shapes and measuring**

- **Parallel channel** — two parallel lines, for a price moving inside a sloping channel
- **Price channel** — a channel from a trend line and a parallel line
- **Fibonacci retracement** — the levels where a pullback commonly pauses, between a low and a high
- **Rectangle** — to mark a zone of price and time
- **Measure** — drag from one point to another to see the change in price, in percent, and how many candles it took
- **Text note** — write a note on the chart; press **Add** or Enter
- **Brush** — draw freehand

### Drawing controls

- **Magnet** — snaps what you draw to the nearest high, low, open or close, so a support line lands exactly on the wick
- **Lock drawings** — stops drawings from moving by accident while you drag the chart
- **Hide drawings** — hides them all to look at the clean price, without deleting them
- **Remove all drawings** — click, then click again to confirm

### Keyboard

- **Escape** — cancel the drawing in progress and go back to the crosshair
- **Delete** or **Backspace** — remove the selected drawing

## Moving around

Drag to move through time; scroll to zoom in and out. After scrolling back into the past, the **Latest** button brings you back to the current candle. Older candles keep loading as you go further back.

## Your setup is remembered

Your timeframe, chart type, indicators and drawings are saved for each coin, in your account.

- Open the same coin again and everything is where you left it, on any device.
- Open a new coin and it starts with your usual indicators and settings, without the drawings from other coins.

## Messages you may see

- **"No candles yet"** — there is no price history for this coin on this timeframe. It happens with very new coins
- **"Couldn't load this coin"** — reload the tab
- **"No coin selected"** — open the chart from a coin page
